About the La Marzocco Linea PB Espresso Machine
This Linea is named after Piero Bambi, the son and nephew of the brothers who founded La Marzocco in 1927. They say he practically was born in the La Marzocco factory, and he was instrumental in the design of the original Linea. The PB bears his initials in homage to his role in the company's history.
The Linea PB takes everything that was great about the Linea Classic, and adds contemporary features that would satisfy any young and conscientious barista. It has an improved control panel, as well as a software interface allowing for full control over temperatures, volumes and pressure, as well as handy features like automatic back flushing. Water also travels a shorter distance to the group head, maintaining even more temperature stability.
For the peace of mind of the business owner, the Linea PB also offers easier serviceability with less disruption in the café thanks to top of machine access.
Linea PB AV vs. MP
The Linea PB comes in two models - the AV (Automatic Volumetric) and the MP (Manual Paddle). The AV offers software-driven, highly accurate volumetric brewing, for consistency in high volume environments. The MP operates via a manual conical paddle that gives the barista full control over the brewing profile, including the pre-infusion.
